Agencies and individuals working in the field of Autism will celebrate an aspect of their program thru Storytelling, Presentation or Practice. The day will include presentations from over 20 Autism serving agencies in Calgary.

The Walk and Run has become the event to bring the entire Autism Community together each year and was the first building block in making the Calgary Autism Community Network a possibility.
Each year, Allies for Autism Foundation undertakes granting initiatives to support autism related programs in the city of Calgary and surrounding areas.

To recognize the value and contribution of people throughout our community we encourage nominations of individuals with ASD from across the spectrum.
Leadership- Individual Adult – This award will be presented to up to 3 individuals on the Autism Spectrum who have for three or more years, demonstrated examples of independence, dedication and/or inspiration – raising awareness in his or her community about autism; providing leadership, support and encouragement of other people with Autism and their families. Each nominee has gained the respect of the autism community. (Nominees must be 18 years or older on Sept 17, 2011.)
Leadership- Individual (Child or Teen) – this award will be presented to up to 3 individuals on the Autism Spectrum who raise awareness in their community about autism; provide leadership in their community and support and encourage everyone around them. Each nominee has gained the respect of the community. (Nominees must be under 18 years on Sept 17, 2011)
Leadership- Mentor – This award will go an individual who has been providing mentorship to an individual or group of individuals with Autism for more than three years. The individual demonstrates success through support, inclusion and integration of people with Autism into the local community and society at large. The individual must demonstrate success through practical outcomes such as the development and success of the individual or group of individuals being mentored. (Nominees must be 18 years or older on Sept 17, 2011.)
Lifetime of Service - This award will go to an Individual who has been in service to the Calgary Autism Community for at least 15 years. This individual is a role model for co-workers, colleagues and all who have crossed their path. They have been an advocate, a pioneer, a mentor and a leader in the ASD community.
Outstanding Achievements in the Arts– Up to 10 individuals (Children, Youth and Adults) will be recognized for outstanding work from the following categories:
